Shirley -Makeup and hair trial

Shirley knew exactly what she liked at her trial! For her hair she wanted a high bun which doesn’t look too structured. Something that looks quite natural but still very elegant. I backcombed her hair for more volume in the bun. She also liked her fringe to fall naturally and not too much hairspray.

For her makeup, she doesn’t anything that is too cakey. She wanted me to accentuate her eyes, so for her eyeshadows i applied a satin pink shade with an earthy purply tone on the outer corner. She told me she also usually wears these shades of colours and she loved it.  I applied a shimmery creamy shadow in the inner corner and also fake natural lashes.

Australian Bridal Expo – Hair Trials

We had a huge weekend at the Australian Bridal Expo at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton. Angelyn and I managed to do hair for 12 models for the fashion show in 1.5 hours. After that was back to our stand to meet all the lovely brides that visited us and to have their makeup/hair trials.

Wedding – Gel

Congratulatons on your big day Gel!  I woke up at 3.45am to get to Gel’s place by 5am! This is probably the earliest that I’ve woken up for a wedding job, but it’s great, no traffic at all! 😛

Geraldine wanted something not too heavy for her makeup and a soft updo. Lighting wasn’t the greatest though. The lovely hairpiece goes really well with her hairstyle. I am selling this bridal hairpiece that she is wearing and also various different styles. Special occasion – Cecilia

Lovely Cecilia had a Christmas work function to attend and she wanted a glamorous makeup with an elegant hairstyle. She was happy to try smokey eyes that night and for her hair, she wanted a bun with lots of height.

Hair and makeup for Lelian and mum

This was a special occassion for Lelian and her mum as Leilan’s brother was getting married. I had such a good chat with both of them..I love my job because I get to do what I love and getting to meet new people.

Lelian liked braids with a high bun. So in order to achieve braids from the bottom up, I had to get Lelian to flip her head down so I could braid her hair starting from the nape of the neck. Thankfully I did this rather quickly before she started feeling dizzy! All the hair was gathered at the top into a very high pony tail and then a big bun was formed!

Lelian’s mum is not used to having much makeup so I accentuated her features. Hope you guys had a wonderful time at the wedding and thank you for having me!

Two different hairstyles for Steph’s bridal trial

For Steph’s trial, she couldn’t decide if she would like it all up or curls on one side. I suggested to her that I could do 2 hairstyles so she can then see which one she likes better. There is a braid on the right side of Steph’s hair as well.  I like the updo style on her better as I think she looks more elegant and the style suits her better. What do you guys think?

Wedding – Ivy

We are all very happy with our hair and makeup. Its natural and lasted through out the night! Hardly have to do any touch up when we got to the reception. My bridesmaids looked amazing and mum too! Wedding – Abigail

Wedding – Ava

Congratulations to today’s bride Ava!  Ava is super relaxed and such a bubbly girl…makes my job so enjoyable! After getting her hair and makeup done, she even had time to do makeup for one of her friend! How sweet is that! Her hairstyle is a waterfall braid with curls swept to one side. I’m finding the waterfall braids have been very popular recently. Her makeup is smokey eyes with two pairs of lashes.
